My father owned a 1995 530i that was his prized possession. About 14 years ago, The vehicle stopped running while we were on the highway. He tried multiple things to get it running and it would never start. Fast forward about 8 years and he and I were able to get the car running again, though it had a strange issue with it now. Once the car would get warm, it would be almost impossible to restart the car. You would have to sit and wait for it to cool off before it would start again. I have a decent amount of mechanical knowledge and figured that I would be able to at least diagnose the problem and get it fixed at some point. Unfortunately, he passed away about a year later from a massive heart attack. Me being a young adult out of high school, I decided to start my life fresh with my then girlfriend, now wife, in upstate New York. The whole time this car has been in the back of my mind of how I could fix it and get it back on the road to honor my dad. Fast forward to about 2 weeks ago and my mother finally found where he hid the keys and I was able to drive down there and try to fix it with a couple friends. Unfortunately, old BMWs tend to have a knack of confusing the crap out of everybody. So this probably comes as no surprise that we were unable to get the car running. I was recommended by my friend's father to have Lanza take a look. I was hesitant at first because I was well aware of the fact that this could become a very expensive endeavor very quickly, but out of pure frustration, I decided to go along with it. Within a week, Steve and Tim had replaced a fuel pump and a fuel filter and the car was running like brand new. I never thought I'd see the day where that car would run as well as it did when I first got in it at 6 years old, but Lanza automotive was able to make that come true. They replaced it with genuine BMW parts and it was an unbelievably affordable repair. If I still lived in Massachusetts, I would bring my cars nowhere else the Lanza automotive.
